Saponification
Problem
Occurs when solvent-borne paints are affected by alkalis in the presence of moisture.
Solution
Prevent by using Leyland Trade Alkali Resisting Wall Primer. Where saponification has already occurred, strip, wash, allow to dry and re-paint.
